In the event of inclement weather, the center will be closed if the Federal Government/APHIS is CLOSED.

If the Federal Government /APHIS observe LIBERAL LEAVE/UNSCHEDULED LEAVE policy, the center will open 1 hour late (at 8:00am).

If the Federal Government /APHIS is opening late (delayed arrival), we will follow the delayed time (ex. If the Federal Government is opening 2 hours late, the center will open at 9:00am).

If the Federal Government /APHIS is closing early (early dismissal), we will close one hour after the Federal Government/APHIS closes.

If the Federal Government is NOT closed, our facility will make every reasonable effort to open the center promptly at 7:00am. Please remember that severe winter weather can make early morning travel risky.

On days where the weather makes travel risky, it is the responsibility of every parent to check the Federal Government Office of Personnel Management website www.opm.gov and click on the "Operating Status" link. federal closings are also announced on the radio and news. If there is any doubt about the center closing, parents should immediately contact the center. Every effort will be made to contact parents in the event of a closing.

If you plan not to attend due to inclement weather regardless of the Federal Government's plans, we ask that you call the center and leave a message as early as possible.

Other Closings

If the Federal Government /APHIS closes, has an early dismissal, or delayed opening for any reason then the center will follow the inclement weather policy above.

If there is a hazard that puts the children at risk in the center, the center will close until it is deemed safe again. All parents will be notified by there classroom teachers or the office in case of closing. All parents will be expected to retrieve children within an hour of center closing.

We follow all other Federal Government Closings
